Lake Conroe Sailing Association

2010 Sailing and Safety Boat Class

The Sailing and Safety Boat Class was a big hit, with nearly 30 LCSA members in attendance. Sergeant William Sanson and Deputy Tony Guy from Precinct One Constable's office provided some very valuable information on boat safety and Lake Conroe regulations. Pierre Catala and Pat McPherson from the Coast Guard Auxiliary presented some great information on safety, equipment regulations and general rules of the water. The class finished with Jon Wodka's race clinic.  A BIG THANKS goes to Mike Ferris, Education Chair and Brad Ballard, Vice-Commodore for coordinating this event. A follow-up class will be conducted to allow participants to have his/her boat inspected to insure that all regulations are met by the boat owner. Date and time TBA.
